Before the sun came up I was setting up my camera to see a sunrise in Banff National Park. As it happens sometimes too many clouds stopped from getting that type of photograph. What I did get instead was this beautiful purple sky reflected on the lake. With a little ice and snow in the water the peaceful landscape was my reward for getting so early.

Love this Bill - so well worth it. I think that the time before sunrise and after sunset often are the best times.
